Big shift in clothing styles this morning
A cold front and mountain rain descended on the Black Hills Saturday night and Sunday morning.
Thunderstorms and rain lowered the temperature more than 50-degrees F. Saturday night.
Coats on bikers coming down from Deadwood
Forecasts call for temperatures to go back up to the 100-degree starting Sunday and for the rest of the rally.

The first fatality at the 2022 Sturgis Motorcycle Rally occured before the rally officially began.
A 28-year old man died when his motorcycle went out-of-control while rounding a curve west of Lead. He was prounced dead at the scene. He was not wearing a helmet.
The South Dakota Highway Patrol is still investigating. Name of the biker being withheld until relatives are notified.

The forest fire near Sundance WY in the Black Hills remains out-of-control. Temperatures near 100-degrees have hampered fire crews.
Here is a press briefing by one of the incident chiefs today, Aug 3.
20 percent contained
Hot temperatures are still in the forecast, including abnormally hot night on Wednesday, which makes the fire less likely to "lay down" after dark.
Quite a large area is closed to travel as firefighters fight the blaze.. Map below.
It's obvious that masses are arriving for the rally. No way to roughly know how many, but it's certainly in the thousands...
Sturgis arrivals swarming in
In what seems like a perennial signal from Earth to humans about climate change, another fire(s) breaks at the approach of the Sturgis Rally.
This one near Sundance. Now at 500-acres and increasing. Burning in a remote area across the South Dakota state line in Wyoming. Part of the Black Hills not far from Devils Tower, so smoke should be visible from there or on Interstate 90.
Fire out-of-control
Much of Rapid City covered in smoke from the fire. Spearfish in the northern Hills with air alert warnings of "unhealty" at airnow.gov.
The area still very dry with hot weather forecast for the week.
