Ponderosa pine trees covered in glory in one of our famous winter scene pictures from the Rocky Mountains.
This one was taken in the Black Hills after a pleasant spring snowstorm. It makes a fine time to track
elk and deer, and to enjoy the superbly blue skies. In many ways, winters with lots of snow are the
most fantastic times to enjoy the mountains.
