During winter
there is tons of good Black Hills skiing in this western most part
of the Rocky Mountains.
The downhill skiing is OK, though not in the same league as in other
western states. But the
cross country skiing is outstanding. There are several areas to go
to, including a tracked area, and a more
wild area at Eagle Cliff Ski Area. Plus, there are hundreds
of thousands of good skis to be enjoyed
by just taking off across the mountains.
