There is a certain casualness of clothing here which is overlooked by the local constable. They used to crack down a bit, until got fed up with the control and began seeking places outside Sturgis. When the dollars slipped away, the moral certitude becamse a lot less certain. So, you can wear whatever you wish for the most part, and not have to please the morals police.
