The toothy grin is actually a well known riding technique. In insect laden environments it is always best
not to have the mouth completely open, no matter how tempting. Otherwise, large insects and even small
winged birds might enter as one tools down the road. Here we see a common straining technique to keep
such life form safe and out of the internal cavities which the might otherwise adapt to and reside in permanently.
