After you hang
around here long enough you descend into a constant state of dazed
disorder. It's a combination of the heat, the continuous roar of
bikes all day and night, and what I would call a nonstop underlying
stress. Maybe some people are used to it. But I can tell you that
for folks who
live in a naturally peaceful rural setting most of the year, this
10-day period is hyper. And it is for lots, as you can see by looking
around at
the zombie-like faces of people toward the end of the rally. They
are completely zoned out in their own little world where nothing fazes
them.
