STURGIS
- (Copyright 2002 Sturgis Rally Top 10) Mostly friendly
folks mixed with a small minority of unsavory characters
started rolling into the Black Hills yesterday.
The
vendors arrived days ago and the tents are going up.
Expect complete and total chaos for a good part of
the rally. Of course, that's one of the reasons it's
fun.
Reports
coming in from campgrounds and web sites indicate
a higher of number of bikers this year. Some people
are throwing around the number of 30 percent more
bikers.
Weather
so far is great. A prolong hot spell of 100 plus degree
days just broke. It's 80 today. And in the low humidity
of the Black Hills and West, that's very comfortable.
I
slept outside last night and actually had to use two
sleeping bags.
