What happened
here is the the man has just suggested that he do the cooking for
the evening meal,
and the past experience with that has been most unsatisfactory what
with the inability to even heat
up peas in the microsave or any other cooking device, which results
in a frown face and that is
understandable from the culinary standpoint as one rides about looking
for food after being unable
to devour anything that was made.
