They are out on
Discovery of major proportions. There is a direct correlation between
the size of the eyeball
and how long people have been in Sturgis. If it is the first time
and they are just arriving in town, the size of
the eyes is huge in proportion to the rest of the face. By the end
of a week or 10 days, the size narrows down
to where it is just a little slit which allows as little light in
as possible into the head. And there is a slightly
grizzled look which lasts quite some time, and can be called back
at will.
