Not the American bison tattoo design on the arm. These animals once roamed the Great Plains
by the millions, making a home in an environment which is fatal to the wimpy cow which now
lives in the buffaloes old home range. That's why some people now think that the eventual outcome
of human settlement on the Plains will be a continuing decrease in the human population and a
Buffalo Commons for the magnificent beasts to take up their old stomping grounds.
