jaywalking

There may perhaps be some kind of jaywalking law in Sturgis, but if there is no one follows it or wants to know about it, including the police.
The penalty that will be applied will be if you don't look at what is coming from the other direction, you may be run over like roadkill by
a rather two-wheeled motorcycle that is carrying an individual who has been eating excessively at Taco Johns and is 200 or 300
pounds heavier than is recommended for his height. And when he gets off the bike to check you, he will accidentally trip and fall
on top of your rather lifeless carcass residing on the pavement.
