Members of the Beat Generation do cool stuff at the rally, and talk about very important books, perhaps even the implications of "On the Road" by
Jack Kerouac. There is enough stuff to write an offbeat novel here. All one would have to do is partake of the different people, pick out
something on the edge, and start writing. And of course the most important ingredient needs to be there - writing talent. The rather alternative
type of lifestyle that pervades some of the culture here makes for intersting copy, and that edge which puts things partly in the counter-culture.
