Even in the afternoon
there are some who venture into the Dark Shadows where
a coolness permeates this atmosphere that is not far removed from
the shadowy
mountains lingering just to the west. And across the Plains the various
wildlife
retreates to the dingier locales to wait out the hottest part of the
day, occasionally
partaking of a sip of liquid and lounging in seclusion.
